EHSRC Investigator Detail

Gerard Rushton, Ph.D.
Professor of Geography and Adjunct Professor, Health Management and Policy
Email: gerard-rushton@uiowa.edu
Phone: (319) 335-0162
Iowa Consortium for Comprehensive Cancer Control Cancer Maps Site
EHSRC Role(s): Member, Environmental Modeling and Exposure Assessment Facility

Dr. Rushton is interested in the development of human service systems in both developed and developing country contexts, particularly for health services. He is also interested in the spatial analysis of disease burdens. Modeling areas include location-allocation, small area demographics, spatial choice behavior, disease cluster analysis, spatial aggregation and disaggregation. In addition, he is exploring the integration of such methods in geographic information systems.
