Dr. Rushton is interested in the development of human service systems in both developed and developing country contexts, particularly for health services. He is also interested in the spatial analysis of disease burdens. Modeling areas include location-allocation, small area demographics, spatial choice behavior, disease cluster analysis, spatial aggregation and disaggregation. In addition, he is exploring the integration of such methods in geographic information systems.
