Professor Osterberg has extensive environmental health outreach and policy expertise in both Iowa and the rural Midwest.  He was formerly special assistant to the Director of the Iowa Department of Natural Resources on global climate change and renewable energy. Prior to that, he served for 12 years in the Iowa General Assembly, chairing both the House Committee on Agriculture and Energy and the Environmental Protection Committee.

As Enrichment Coordinator, Professor Osterberg organizes the EHSRC seminar series and guest lecturers invited to The University of Iowa Center.
