JUST FOR KIDS

Have you ever wondered how your lungs work, and what happens when pollution gets inside them? There are many pollutants in our environment that can cause people or animals to become sick. Sometimes, these pollutants are found in our water supply, our food, our air, or our homes. Something as ordinary as household dust, the family pet, or carpeting can make us wheeze and sneeze and cause breathing problems, such as asthma.

If you are interested in learning more about your environment and how it affects your health, come and explore the websites below, where you can learn about your lungs, asthma, radon, DNA and genetics, and toxic chemicals found in different places where people and animals live. Just as there are many types of contaminants out there, there are many ways to prevent them from making us sick.
You can make a difference!
